Why Laboratories Use a Pen Format
A pen-and-cartridge format allows repeatable, graduated dispensing from a single reconstituted vial without drawing from the vial each time. This reduces handling of the stock material, limits the number of entries into the septum, and makes recorded volumes easier to reproduce across a study series. The cartridge is loaded once and the pen is dialled to the required increment for each dispense.
Handling and Storage
The pen body is reusable and should be cleaned between cartridges according to the enclosed handling guide. Cartridges and tips are single-use. Store the kit dry, at room temperature, away from direct light. Reconstituted research material should be stored according to the guidance supplied with that specific peptide, not with the pen.
Compatibility
The 3 ml cartridge format is compatible with material reconstituted using bacteriostatic water in standard laboratory dilutions. It is commonly used alongside single-vial research peptides such as retatrutide and tirzepatide.
